The weekend of Lexi’s second birthday was also the weekend of my sister Shawna’s wedding, in which Lexi & I were both part of the wedding party. This was also the weekend of the first snow storm in Oregon that put inches of snow on the road in 2013.
Turning two in also marked Lexi’s first ear infection, climbing out of the crib, and getting a big girl bed all very quickly. It turned from Lexi putting herself to bed in her crib to hours of Lexi getting in and out of the big girl bed. Some nights we managed to negotiate sleeping on a mat on her floor, and other times giving in to the couch. Turning two was countless interrupted nights/months walking Lexi back to her room.
Turning two was also in the middle of potty training, where she started wearing big girl underwear and pull ups around 23 months.
Needless to say, there was no Lexi Turning Two blog due to all of the above circumstances.
Not terrible twos. Just really, really busy twos.
